10/5/16 SAF Meeting and Other Fall 2016 Events
The San Francisco Station had an eventful Fall of 2016. We celebrated the life of our long-time SAF member, Roy Jennings (9/17), had a great cruise to Tomales Bay (9/30-10/2) and we had a informative and enjoyable lunch meeting at St. Francis YC (10/5) with our SAF member, Stan Honey, presenting a slide show about the Super-Maxi COMANCHE that Stan successfully navigated, since its launching in 2014: to a second (2014) and a first (2015) in Sydney-Hobart races; a first-to-finish and a new elapsed time record in the CCA 2016 Newport-Bermuda race; and a new west-to-east Trans-Atlantic record for mono-hulls.
